The Hana Fund Helps Pay for Noble Paws Dogs Medical Expenses

Hana (a male dog named after the city in Maui) is one of our main lead dogs. This winter he became very sick. He had stopped eating, seemed to have abdominal pain, was binge drinking and had increased urination.

After multiple veterinary visit, blood work, urine samples, biopsies, an ultra-sound, x-rays and an exploratory surgery we were still no closer to diagnosis. But as his condition deteriorated we continued with a couple more vet visits. Finally, we discovered he suffered from inflammatory bowel disease and what might be the start of kidney failure.

After a week of no appetite and little water, Hana finally digs into a bowl of food.

After a week of no appetite and little water, Hana finally digs into a bowl of food.

It was an expensive journey, totaling just over $3,000. Since we are a nonprofit, and currently rely completely on donated funds, we are asking for your help. We have created the “Hana Fund” to help us recoup some of Hana’s medical cost. This will be a long term fund that will also go towards future medical cost for the dogs in our kennel.

Hana is a super dog. And we are hopeful he will make a full recover. And with you help, we will be able to care for all the dogs in our kennel with as much love and attention as we are for Hana. Please support the Hana Fund today.
